The Ear & The Eye MUST COMBINE!

Communication is perceived differently by everyone, but what makes the true difference is whether or not you truly understand. Typically people respond to visual communication because they believe the ear and the eye go hand in hand. You need one to use the other because with only audio it takes time to visualize what’s being heard. Your visual may not match the visual that was intended to be interpreted. You must listen as well as use your eyes to your advantage and stay attentive. Most respond best to messages delivered through visual communication because it's understood that those messages are best and can deliver good feedback as well. 
In visual communication there are necessary tools needed to successfully communicate messages. The two most important are symbols and images because they both speak a lot louder than words. Images tell a story on its own and that along with audio communication is one of the best ways to get a correct interpretation of your message. For example when Dominos Pizza wants you to buy their special offers they don’t just make radio announcements, they put on commercials with detailed behind the scenes shots of the pizza being made. They put the step by step details of how the pizza is made along with explaining the ingredients and the benefits. Thats the best way to get the message across to the audience that the pizza is worth buying.
Visual communication isn’t only the best way to communicate a message but also the best way to persuade someone. Visual communication works for brands, people, companies, groups, etc. One artist that has great visual communication for her brand is Nicki Minaj. The graphics she uses to sell her products and the way she designs most of her flyers are very enticing. She uses her sex appeal to her advantage most of the time and bright colors to bring out her skin and tight clothes to enhance her shape. The bright colors reflect Nicki Minaj’s bright personality and seeing this ad and thinking of her commercials just makes you want to buy it. The visual images are a huge part of the communication of the advertisement.

Another brand that’s very enticing due to visual communication is the Samsung Galaxy s6 because it’s waterproof. The commercial just explaining that the phone is water proof wouldn’t do much  good. The communication of that message isn’t unclear it’s just unappealing. In the commercial the reason it’s so interesting and persuasive is due to the visual effects in the commercial. The phone is dropped in water at the pool and then dropped in a bowl of cereal at the breakfast table with young children. That’s already appealing to many different audiences and the message is effectively communicated. 

The last great ad that uses visual communication to its advantage is Smirnoff Vodka. The image of amber rose grabs the audiences’ attention and the colors compliment her skin and figure. The vodka looks so classy and smooth sitting in her hand so why not try it?
Visual Communication will remain most effective because it explains more than a person could verbally explain. It allows the viewer to make the interpretation they want and dissect the message based on their own judgements. Visual communication aids verbal communication as some messages may not be delivered in the best way and need a visual to bring all elements under one unified umbrella. The ads exhibit how effective visual communication is and will remain in our world of communications.
